Charlotte Covey

Charlotte grew up in St. Mary’s County, Maryland, before moving to the Eastern Shore for college. She attended Salisbury University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and English with a Concentration in Creative Writing in Spring 2016. In the Fall of 2016, she moved to St. Louis to pursue an MFA in Poetry at the University of Missouri – St. Louis. She graduated in Spring 2018.

In both 2019 and 2017, Charlotte was twice nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She has poems published or forthcoming in The Normal School, Salamander, the minnesota review, CALYX, and The Monarch Review, among others. In 2015, she was nominated for an AWP Intro Journal Award. She is a contributing editor of River Styx, and she currently works at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She lives in Chattanooga with her fiancé and their cat, Budlight.
